Get started

Update Opaline

Shopify tells you when a new version of Opaline is available. Updating keeps your settings and content, and lets you check the new version before publishing it.

Install an update#

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes. When an update exists, a notice appears on Opaline in your theme library.
  2. Click View update, then Add to theme library. Shopify creates an updated copy that keeps your theme settings, sections and content.
  3. Preview the copy and check your main pages: home, a product, a collection and the cart.
  4. When everything looks right, click Publish on the updated copy.
Good to know

Changes you made in the code editor are not carried over to the updated copy. Note them down before updating so you can apply them again.

Check your version#

In the theme editor, open Theme settings and scroll to Theme information. The current version is 1.3.1; see What’s new.
